EOW – Front Raise

Front Raises – A Must do Move for Toned Arms

Do you love wearing sleeveless shirts? This exercise will help you get great looking shoulders. Front Raises with dumbbells target the often-overlooked front of the shoulder or your anterior deltoid. Keep in mind your shoulders are made up of 3 different muscles: anterior deltoids, medial deltoids and posterior deltoids. To get the best results you need to work all 3 muscles independently.

Do it Right

  • Stand w/ feet hips distance apart, knees soft, chest lifted, back flat & abdominals tight
  • Hold 1 dumbbell in each hand w/ arms hanging down at your sides, palms facing your body, elbows soft
  • Exhale & raise dumbbells forward to shoulder height, keeping elbows extended but soft, palms facing each other & dumbbells close but not touching
  • Reverse direction to return to starting position
  • Continue until all reps are complete
