Strong Back, Good Posture with Plank Position Dumbbell Rows
This is an advanced challenging row and is an awesome exercise to target your back and core muscles. Having a strong back is so important because it not only helps improve your posture, but also makes you stand taller and look thinner. Keep this simple and begin in a kneeling position instead of the full plank. Be sure to keep your back flat and your abdominals tight.
Do it Right:
- Begin in plank position, hands aligned under shoulders holding dumbbells, body in a straight line from top of head to toes, abdominals tight
- Exhale & pull dumbbell up using back muscles keeping elbow close to the body & pointing toward the ceiling, pinch shoulder blade at end of move
- Extend arm down toward the floor to return to starting position
- Continue until all reps are complete, switch hands & complete same number of reps
