Self Care w/ Foam Rolling

Self-Care

It is important to do self-care in between massage sessions.

It helps the body to stay supple for longer periods of time and maintains flexibility and hydration in the body tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia)

Foam rolling is an easy, inexpensive way to do maintenance.

When doing self-care with rolling techniques, it is important to pay most attention to areas that are “short and tight”.

These areas are essentially winning the “tug of war” in the body, and creating pain in other areas of the body.

The Neck, Low Back, Hamstrings & Calves are common shortened areas that need attention.

Neck-computer and cell phone related forward head posture

Low Back- tight hip flexors from sitting too long
